Ingredients:

  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 large lettuce leaf such as iceberg or romaine
  • 2 medium-sized tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: avocado slices for extra creaminess

Instructions:

Set the oven temperature to 400F 200C

Arrange the bacon slices on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet

Bake the bacon for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the desired crispness is achieved, in a preheated oven

If youd rather, you can also cook the bacon on the stovetop in a skillet

Make the sauce while the bacon is cooking

Mix the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl

Blend until thoroughly blended

Taste and adjust the seasonings

Once cooked, take the bacon out of the oven and allow it to cool slightly on a paper towel so that any excess grease can be absorbed

Spoon a heaping spoonful of the sauce onto a large lettuce leaf

Arrange the tomatoes, sliced thinly, over the sauce

Arrange the slices of cooked bacon atop the tomatoes

If desired, add slices of avocado

To make a wrap, fold the lettuce leaf over the ingredients

If needed, fasten the wrap with toothpicks

For easier handling, cut the wrap in half diagonally

Enjoy your No Bread BLT as soon as its served
