Tomato Basil Artichoke Picnic Sandwich

This Tomato Basil Artichoke Picnic Sandwich is a delicious and easy-to-make option for a picnic outing. The combination of ripe tomatoes, fragrant basil, tangy artichoke hearts, and creamy mozzarella cheese creates a flavorful and satisfying meal.

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of crusty bread
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup marinated artichoke hearts, drained
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Drizzle olive oil on one side of each bread slice

Layer tomato slices on two bread slices

Top tomatoes with basil leaves

Add artichoke hearts on top of basil

Season with salt and pepper

Place mozzarella slices on top

Drizzle balsamic glaze over mozzarella

Cover with remaining bread slices, olive oil side down

Press sandwiches gently together

Cut each sandwich in half diagonally

Wrap sandwiches in parchment paper or plastic wrap for easy transport
