Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, minced onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Mix well and shape into patties
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat
Cook patties until browned on both sides and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side
Remove from skillet and set aside
In the same skillet, add sliced onion and mushrooms
Cook until softened and lightly browned, about 5 minutes
Sprinkle flour over the onion and mushrooms
Stir to coat and cook for another minute
Gradually pour in beef broth, stirring constantly until thickened into a gravy
Return the cooked patties to the skillet, coating them with the mushroom and onion gravy
Simmer for 5 minutes
Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired
